2/8 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre Jr, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
It's been a gray & gloomy day across the area and it's been chilly as well...But folks down in South Jersey saw 50s and even 60s - that sure sounds nice! Expect wintry precip to remain north of the City through midnight, and then a mix of ice/sleet/snow will impact us closer to NYC during the morning commute.
Heading far north into Sullivan/Ulster/Dutchess? You're gonna get all snow from this storm. Looking like 6-12" for those northern locations. 3-6" Likely for Northern NJ into the Rockland/Westchester/Passaic areas. Closer to NYC, we're expecting 1-3", and mainly rain for the South Shore and Jersey Shore...but a quick inch or two is possible Monday evening as colder air moves in and everyone's gettin' snow during the PM commute.
Tuesday we get a bit of sunshine returning to the picture with temps in the mid 30s...but a stiff northerly breeze will make for a colder feel. Wednesday is partly sunny with temps again in the mid 30s.
