Man Shot Dead In Fort Greene Public Housing Development
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was shot and killed in the middle of the day Thursday in a public housing development in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
Police were called around 2 p.m. to the Whitman Houses building at 101 N. Portland Ave., the NYPD said.
At the scene, they found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said.
The man was rushed to the Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. His identity was being withheld pending family notification late Thursday.
As of Thursday night, there had been no arrests and the investigation continued.
