Police Release Sketch Of Man Who Shot Woman In Bronx Building

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police released a sketch Thursday in a shooting that left a woman wounded in the Bronx earlier this month.

Around 4:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, the 39-year-old woman was grabbed by a man she did not know in the hallway of her apartment building – located at an unspecified address in the 46th Precinct. The precinct includes the neighborhoods of Fordham, University Heights, Morris Heights, and Mount Hope.

The man shot the woman once in the abdomen while they struggled, police said.

The man then ran off, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male in his early 20s, standing about 5 feet 2 inches tall with brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion.
