2/22 CBS2 Sunday Morning Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good morning everybody! We're seeing some rain showers for much of the area, but temps are a bit too close for comfort to the freezing mark. And in some spots, folks are still seeing a final bit of snow/ice. Take it easy on the roads this morning if you're going to be out!

The good news is that the sun will break back out in the afternoon and we'll warm up to near normal levels! Looks like we'll reach 41 degrees in NYC which is by far the warmest we've been in a while. This warmth is unfortunately short-lived as an Arctic cold front will plow through the region and knock our temps back into the teens/20s for Monday and it gets colder still for Tuesday! Expect a high of only 21 on Monday, and temps tumble to 6 in NYC Tuesday morning. Folks north and west of the city, you'll be below zero for sure.
