Style Experts Help You Recreate The Oscars' Best Looks

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The day after the Oscars, everyone was still talking about what the stars were wearing.

As CBS2's Emily Smith explained, you can take some of the looks and recreate the glamour of Hollywood in your own wardrobe.

Experts agreed that a plunging neckline was one of the three hottest trends from the Oscars.

Margot Robbie went with a plunging neckline and so did J-Lo and Faith Hill.

Celebrity style experts said contrary to popular belief it can suit almost anyone.

"Maybe you get a top that's a low neckline and wear it with your jean or a legging or pencil skirt," author and fashion expert, said George Brescia.

"I always recommend fashion tape," fashion expert Britney Levine added.

The tape helps the dress cover your body without spoiling the look.

Another trend on display last night was the statement necklace, which can be worn everyday.

"So Scarlett Johansson was wearing one that was incorporated into the dress," Levine said.

Experts also suggested forgoing the little black dress for color.

Especially with spring coming, there will be a lot of options. So, experts say, why not try a new neckline, new color, or a statement necklace?

Experts added that a trend seen at Oscar after-parties was sheer sleeves and sheer cut-outs on dresses.
