By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Sunday morning everybody and welcome to March! We'll be glad to leave February in the dust, the third coldest February on record for Central Park!

Expect a high of 33 today but...with snow, sleet, and ice back in the forecast. Weekend storms seem to be the rule this winter!

Snow will arrive in our western suburbs of New Jersey/Hudson Valley late this morning, with snow entering NYC by the lunchtime hour. Expect steadier snow developing by the evening with a wintry mix in the late evening. Looks like 2-4" in NYC (though some 4.5-5" reports can't be ruled out), a coating to 2" for the Jersey Shore and 4-6" (with locally 7") in the Lower Hudson Valley and far NW New Jersey.

Monday morning's commute looks dry (as in no precip falling from the sky), but will likely be icy/slushy. Temps actually creep up to the 40 degree mark with breaks of sunshine! Tuesday, more clouds move in with some rain/snow showers possible.

Stay tuned for the very latest on our winter that keeps rollin' on!
