3/3 CBS2 Tuesday Morning Weather Headlines

Good morning!

Yes, it's back to the cold air this morning. Many of are waking up in the teens and low 20s.

We're getting closer to spring, and that means more up-and-down temps will be happening -- 20s to start one day, 50s to finish the next. And that is what we are looking at this week.

The cold start today will be followed by a encore of snow for the evening commute. A few inches of heavy wet snow will fall before a brief period of mixing takes over.

Then we warm the air, and rain will be on and off for Wednesday. But temps will be into the 40s, so some melting and relief is ahead. However, as the front sags south, the backside of the cold front passes and could give us another round of white stuff.

Early numbers indicate the backside to be stronger than the initial shot of snow.

Check back in soon for the latest. We're very busy around here in the CBS Weather Center.
