3/8 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hopefully you had a chance to get out and about this afternoon, because it was simply delightful. Sure, we're talking about temps that were "only" in the mid/upper 40s, but compared to what we've been dealing with the past few months? It was spectacular.

Evening Tomorrow

Expect a few passing clouds overnight, perhaps even a stray flurry or two as a cold front crosses the region. Temps bottom out near freezing in NYC, but we'll rebound nicely tomorrow with another day of upper 40s temps - 48 in NYC should do it. There will be a bit of a breeze at times, making for a true early March feel...the wind, sun, and warmth should do a nice job of getting rid of some of the snow piles!

Evening Surface

Tuesday features increasing clouds and a chance for some light rain in the afternoon. Looks like much of the area is on the northern edge of the steadiest precip...the good news is that we'll be warm enough to be getting just rain.

To end on a bright note - it looks like Wednesday will feature some of the nicest weather we've had in a very long time. Expect plentiful sunshine and a high in the city of 51 - so enjoy it if you can!
