3/9 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

Good Monday morning, everybody! It'll be chilly this morning with temps at or below freezing for most folks, and maybe a few spotty flakes or sprinkles. There could be some slick spots for the morning commute, so be careful if you're out and about early. We'll be getting sunshine back as we head through the day. It's going to be another nice afternoon with a high of 48 in NYC. Sunshine, warm temps, and a breeze from the west should also help dry out roads and eliminate snow!

Clouds roll in through the morning on Tuesday and there will be some rain after 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Best bet for steadier rain looks to be over Central and Southern NJ...and it does look like rain - which is great news!

The payoff on Wednesday will be worth it though, with sunshine and a high of 51 degrees. We don't condone playing hooky from work or school, but if you gotta do it, Wednesday's the day!
