The suspect has struck at least nine times since January, police said. The most recent incident happened last Sunday at the CJ Supermarket on Main Street, police said.

In each case, police said he walks up or bumps into women and then swipes their wallets and smartphones.

In that incident, police said he walked up to a 29-year-old woman as she was shopping and took her iPhone 6 from her jacket pocket.

Police describe the suspect only as a Hispanic man in his 40s.
