3/15 CBS2 Sunday Morning Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Sunday morning, everybody! If you're heading out this morning there will be a chill in the air with temps in the low 40s and northwest winds of 10-15 mph, so bring a jacket! It'll be a pretty windy afternoon as well with northwest winds gusting 35-40 mph.

While we expect mainly sunny skies through the afternoon with a high of 49, there is a chance for scattered showers during the afternoon...mainly east of NYC. There could even be some flakes far north of the city, but nothing accumulating. Thankfully these showers will be fairly light and quick, so don't cancel any plans you may have.

We're looking at a mild Monday with sunshine to start and a high temp of 54 in NYC! That's a few degrees above normal for this time of year. Clouds increase by afternoon though and we could get some scattered rain showers Monday night into early Tuesday.

Skies clear on Tuesday morning and temps reach the upper 40s, so we're looking good for St. Patrick's Day celebrations!
