Jacoby Ellsbury Has Mild Right Abdominal Strain, Could Miss Up To A Week

TAMPA, Fla. (CBSNewYork/AP) — New York Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury was scratched from the starting lineup against Toronto on Tuesday night due to a mild right abdominal strain.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Ellsbury will not play Wednesday, then will be evaluated Thursday. He didn't rule out Ellsbury missing up to a week.

Girardi says that he's "not too concerned" about the injury.

Ellsbury was examined by a team doctor Tuesday.
