Police: Midtown High School Student Arrested For Possession Of Loaded Gun
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Police arrested a 16-year-old New York City high school student Friday morning for allegedly bringing a loaded handgun to school.
Police say a safety agent at Environmental High School on West 56th Street in Midtown saw the teen put a schoolmate's hand on his waistband; she quickly pulled her hand away.
The teen was escorted to a secure area and agents found the .32 caliber revolver with bullets inside.
The teen has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon for having a loaded firearm on school grounds.
