CBS2 3/21 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hope you had a chance to enjoy the relatively warmer temps compared to yesterday, when we dealt with a sneaky Spring surprise. We're just going to have to be careful through April as NYC can and has had accumulating snow in late April!  It'll be cold tonight with temps around freezing in the City and in the 20s for the suburbs. Areas of black ice are expected due to refreezing of standing water/snowmelt from today.

For the second half of the weekend tomorrow, we're looking good with plenty of sunshine...but it will be cold and windy. Temps will struggle to hit 40 degrees here in NYC and there will be a northwest breeze of 10-20 mph. That'll make it feel more like the 20s. Not quite what we want to hear this late in March.

Monday looks to be another cold day with temps in the mid/upper 30s area-wide and still some breezy conditions. Tuesday won't be as bad with temps in the mid-40s.

Good news arrives by Wednesday when we warm to 50, and Thursday we spike to 58 in NYC, but with some rain showers.

Enjoy the rest of your night!
