Roller Coaster Temps On Tap For Tri-State Through Weekend

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Mother Nature is going to be a bit bi-polar for the next few days.

Thursday will be one of the warmest days we've had in a while, with a high of 65 possible.

It won't last very long though. Temperatures will start to dip on Friday.

Saturday will be clear and brisk with readings in the 40s. However, temperatures will be in the 20s Saturday night.

Compared to Thursday, many areas will a 40 degree temperature drop Saturday, according to AccuWeather.

"This is actually pretty typical for spring.  We have increased volatility this time of year and temps are all over the place," said CBS2 Chief Meteorologist Giorgio Panetta.

"Severe weather brings cold and warm air together, creating potentially violent storms."

"Temperatures have gyrated like a roller coaster during much of the month and the ride is nowhere near being over," added AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams.
