Phil Jackson Tweets That Knicks Will Rebuild, Have Team 'Bball Gods' Approve Of

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Knicks are, statistically, the worst team in the NBA.

They are 14-60 (.189 winning percentage), and have set the franchise record for most losses in a season with eight games left on the schedule.

So, yes, it's safe to say that Phil Jackson's first season as team president was an unmitigated disaster.

But better times are on the horizon. They have to be, right? The Knicks are in position to have one of the top picks in the 2015 NBA draft -- they very well might select first overall -- and Jackson is expected to have at least $25 million in cap space to work with this summer.

So despite the misery of this season, the Basketball Hall of Famer is confident that things can turn around quickly for the lowly 'Bockers.

He took to Twitter late on Sunday night to express that.

It wasn't the first time that Jackson, affectionately known as the "Zen Master," referenced the basketball gods in a tweet this season.

The Knicks will host the crosstown Nets at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday. After that, there are four more home contests on the schedule. New York's final game of 2015 is on Apr. 15 against the Pistons.
