Former Jets First-Round Pick Kyle Wilson Signs With Saints

NEW ORLEANS (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a one-year contract extension with veteran right guard Jahri Evans and have signed cornerback Kyle Wilson to a one-year contract.

General manager Mickey Loomis, who announced the moves on Wednesday, did not disclose financial terms. Evans' extension means his contract now runs through the 2017 season.

Evans has spent his entire NFL career with New Orleans, starting in 2006, when he was a fourth-round draft choice out of Division II Bloomsburg. He has been selected to six consecutive Pro Bowls, second all-time among Saints offensive linemen behind Hall-of-Fame left tackle Willie Roaf's seven selections.

Wilson has spent his first five seasons with the New York Jets, who made him a late first-round draft choice out of Boise State in 2010.

The 27-year-old played in all 16 games for Gang Green last season, recording 26 combined tackles and a sack.
