Police Search For Woman Who Held Up Bank In Holbrook, Long Island

HOLBROOK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police Friday evening were searching for a woman who allegedly robbed a bank in Holbrook, Long Island.

Around 2:55 p.m., the woman walked into the Citibank at 5801 Sunrise Highway and took out a note demanding cash, Suffolk County police said.

The teller complied and gave the woman an undetermined amount of cash, police said. The woman ran off through the parking lot and headed east, police said.

The woman was described as white and about 5 feet tall, with a medium build and light brown hair, and between 30 and 35 years old. She was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on the robbery was asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS.
