4/12 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Boy oh boy, what a weekend it's been! While yesterday was on the cooler side, we had plenty of sunshine and no precip at all! Today was definitely the better of the two days in terms of temps - many folks reached the upper 60s! Skies will remain clear tonight and we'll drop to 49 overnight in NYC.

Evening Tonight

Tomorrow will start off the work week on a beautiful note. Plenty of early day sunshine, a few clouds late, and a high of 67. We don't advocate playing hooky from work/school, but if you gotta pick a day, tomorrow's the one! Some showers work their way into the region late Monday night and stick around through Tuesday morning. For NYC and points west, it looks done by noon Tuesday with sun returning. For LI/CT, showers could linger through the mid afternoon. Otherwise expect another mild day with highs in the mid 60s.

Evening Surface

Wednesday through Friday will see the 60+ stretch continue, with sunny skies Wednesday and Thursday. Next chance for showers will be early Friday morning into Friday evening.
