There were various reasons (aka excuses) why Craig did not have any luck finding someone to join him at today's Mets home opener.  Jerry Recco, for one, declined on account of his Little League obligations, the field is not gonna 'drag itself' now is it?!

Jerry eventually delivered his first update of the morning, which covered all the bases and then some, beginning with the Yankees offensive explosion (14 runs) in the Bronx last night against the Red Sox which helped earn Masahiro Tanaka his first win of the season and a brief recap of Friday night's epic extra-inning affair that went 19.

The Mets got all sorts of production from Bartolo Colon as they downed the Braves 4-3 in Atlanta.  Later this afternoon Terry Collins' bunch will host the Phillies in their 2015 home opener, but will be with out Jenrry Mejia for the foreseeable future after the reliever was handed an 80-game suspension for PED use.

Plus, Jordan Spieth wins the Masters in spectacular fashion while Jim Nantz described the action Sunday afternoon, Craig finds the 21-year-old Spieth relatable based on his thinning hair, Tiger Woods fixes his own hand on the course and the Nets take one on the chin in Milwaukee but remain in the eighth spot in the underwhelming east...
