No Verdict On Day 6 Of Deliberations In Aaron Hernandez Case

FALL RIVER, Mass. (CBSNewYork/AP) — There is still no verdict in the murder trial of former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez after six days of deliberations.

Jurors have been mulling over the case for nearly 35 hours as they decide whether to convict him of the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancee.

Testimony in the trial lasted more than two months. Jurors began deliberating last week.

Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh sent jurors home Tuesday afternoon with reminders not to discuss the case with anyone and to avoid all news on the TV, radio, newspaper or other media.

Jurors must reach a unanimous verdict. In addition to the murder charge, they are deciding whether to convict him of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
