WATCH: Matt Harvey Plunks Chase Utley After 2 Mets Are Hit

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — Matt Harvey won his first home start in almost 20 months, and Lucas Duda hit a three-run double off David Buchanan to lead the New York Mets past Philadelphia 6-5 on Tuesday for their third straight victory.

Chase Utley homered twice for the Phillies and hit an RBI single after entering 2 for 22 (.091). Utley had gone 175 at-bats since his previous home run on Aug. 10 against Mets right-hander Zack Wheeler, the longest drought of his career.

Utley also was hit in the back by a 95 mph fastball from Harvey with first base open — prompting plate umpire Alfonso Marquez to warn both benches.

Harvey (2-0) was no doubt retaliating after Buchanan (0-2) plunked Wilmer Flores and Michael Cuddyer in the second inning, both on the left hand.

Cuddyer left the game but is expected to be OK. There's a chance he'll be in the lineup on Wednesday in the series finale.

"It was intense and that's what we kind of expect with these games in our division," said Cody Asche, who also homered for the Phillies. "Tensions are going to rise every now and then."

Harvey struck out nine in six shutout innings last week at Washington, his first outing since Tommy John surgery in October 2013.

Finally back on the Citi Field mound where he started the All-Star Game that year, the right-hander whiffed eight and walked none. He gave up three runs and five hits, improving to 5-0 with a 1.60 ERA in six starts against the Phillies.

Harvey gave up solo homers to Utley and Asche — and even a leadoff double to Buchanan. That came in the fifth, when Harvey escaped a bases-loaded jam by retiring Carlos Ruiz on a popup.
