The Mets completed a three-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night at Citi Field with a convincing 6-1 victory, have now won four games in a row and all is well.  The Islanders opened up their first-round playoff series in Washington on a good note after defeating the Capitals 4-1 and with a win over the Magic, coupled with a loss by the Pacers, has the Brooklyn Nets heading to Atlanta to take on the Hawks in a first-round matchup of their own.

The common theme there you ask? Winning.

According to Craigie (pictured, dressed like a winner), today is all about winning.

Even the Knicks, who lost their season finale to the Pistons, 'won' by bettering their chances in the NBA Draft lottery.  If not for the Yankees, who fell to the Orioles again in Baltimore and have yet to win a series this season, we would have had a show open just overflowing with success.  Although, for those who find themselves pulling for Alex Rodriguez got a bit of a silver lining if you will, as the much-maligned slugger did go deep and has actually earned his paycheck this season thus far.

Boomer of course was all about the Rangers, as his beloved Blueshirts prepare for their quest to win the Cup, which begins tonight at the Garden, where they will welcome the Penguins to town and the Blonde Bomber will be there root them on.

And away we go!
