2 Arrested In Connection With Robbery Of Elderly Woman In West Village
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Two men have been arrested after an elderly woman was robbed in the West Village on Thursday.
Efrain Navedo, 18, and Tega Douglas, 17, have been charged with robbery, police said Friday.
At 5:20 a.m., police said three men followed the 80-year-old woman on West 4th Street. One of the men grabbed the woman's purse causing her to fall to the ground, police said.
Shortly after the incident, police said a man was seen on surveillance video using the victim's credit card at a CVS Pharmacy on Eighth Avenue.
The woman was treated at the scene for a minor knee injury.
