4/17 CBS2 Friday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good afternoon!

As expected, it's a damp one out there today. We'll be dealing with on-and-off showers moving through for the rest of this afternoon and early evening, so keep the umbrella handy! There will be a mild high of 66 in the city today. Gradual clearing tonight will give way to mostly clear skies by tomorrow morning.

It's going to be a real spring treat for the first half of your weekend! Mostly sunny skies with temps climbing into the mid-70s! Keep in mind the normal high for this time of year is 62. You'll definitely want to get outside tomorrow!

We drop back to more seasonable temps for Sunday as high pressure moves offshore, but it stays dry. We'll have partly cloudy skies with a high of 62.

Monday is looking like a good soaking for all, more widespread rain than we are seeing today; 1-2" of rain is expected. We're actually just over 2" below normal for the month in Central Park, so it can't hurt. We clear out again on Tuesday, with temps in the mid to upper 60s.

Check back in soon for updates!
