4/20 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Afternoon!

The rain gear is a must today as a steady soaking will continue, heavy at times. A general 1-2" by the end across the region. Looks like we get a break early this evening, with just some showers moving through. But as the cold front approaches later tonight, a few more pockets of heavy rain and thunderstorms will move through. Winds are whipping, out of the east at 15-25 mph and that will continue this afternoon.

A few scattered showers to start Tuesday morning, then it's gradual clearing through the day. We're expecting partly sunny skies and a mild high of 68 by tomorrow afternoon.

We drop back a bit on Wednesday, with highs in the low to mid 60s. Some showers are likely Wednesday evening and into Thursday as another cold front moves through. This one will drop our temps back into the mid to upper 50s for the rest of the week.

Keep the umbrella handy today and check back in soon for the latest!
