Police: Suspect Attacked 2 Men In Anti-Gay Assault In Theater District

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were searching for a suspect who shouted anti-gay slurs at a pair of men in the heart of the Theater District and attacked them.

The men, ages 27 and 32, were walking near Broadway and 48th Street around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, April 12, when the suspect began shouting anti-gay slurs, police said.

The suspect then assaulted the men and ran off, police said. The victims refused medical attention.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect.
