4/24 CBS2 Friday Evening Weather Headlines
By Giorgio Panetta
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good evening everyone!
Hope you're having a lovely day. It's pretty out there, but it sure is chilly. Skies are full of blue and just a few clouds peppered in.
The winds are gusty though, topping off around 25 miles per hour -- which is taking the real feel temps down into the 40s. There are even some 30s up in the northern Hudson Valley.
We have freeze warnings in effect until 9am for those just outside the five boroughs. Widespread 30s should be felt.
Skies are clearing overnight & allowing temps to fall off due to radiational cooling. Saturday morning has some potential records that will be close to being broken. But we rebound nicely in the afternoon topping off around 60 degrees.
A system gets close to us Sunday into Monday bringing rain close, but it looks to stay away for now.
Check back in soon for a sneak peek at next week.
