Thousands In New Jersey Take Part In Jersey Cares Day

NEW JERSEY (CBSNewYork) -- More than 2,000 people in the Garden State are rolling up their sleeves for the annual Jersey Cares Day.

From organizing food pantries to painting murals, volunteers are taking part in more than 37 projects to help revitalize New Jersey communities.

This year, organizers have created family-friendly opportunities to get children as young as 4 years old involved, CBS2 reported.
