Bergen County Grand Jury Indicts Man In 2014 Fatal Shooting

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Newark man has been indicted on murder and other charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a cab driver on a northern New Jersey highway last year.

Mujahideen Abdullah, 25, also faces drug and weapons charges in the 16-count indictment handed up by a Bergen County grand jury, according to The Record.

Abdullah is accused in the June 2014 fatal shooting of Jeff Mansilla on Interstate 80.

According to authorities, the men argued at a strip club, and Abdullah and a female companion allegedly followed Mansilla when he drove off in his cab with an acquaintance and a customer. Abdullah then allegedly took out a handgun and fired several shots.

Mansilla, of Hackensack, was shot in the hip. A passenger drove him to a hospital, but he died there a short time later.
