Fresh off his role in the disappointing Fight of the Century, Manny Pacquiao reportedly needs surgery on his right shoulder -- an injury he apparently had prior to stepping into the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Saturday night.  Boomer happened to cross paths with a doctor familiar with the situation and he assured Booms that the injury was in fact serious.

From there it was up to Jerry to keep the momentum going and he was more than up to the task, as he lived up to his moniker as "the update maven."

It began with the Rangers' tough to swallow 1-0 loss to the Caps, featured an in-depth look at the Yanks' 3-1 loss north of the border, provided a summary of a couple of road wins in the NBA for the Bulls and the Clippers, and finally proved to be a valuable learning experience for the crafty vet that is Jerry Recco.
