NYPD Releases Surveillance Video Of Person Of Interest In J Train Subway Stabbing

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - The NYPD want to question a man in connection with the stabbing of a 22-year-old man on a Brooklyn subway platform.

The incident happened just before 9 a.m. Saturday while the victim was standing on the platform inside the Chauncey Street subway station, police said.

A man approached the victim and "verbally threatened his life," police said. He then stabbed the man in the back of the head and neck with an unknown object, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition.

The attacker was caught on surveillance footage wearing white jeans, a dark blue jacket and a green baseball hat. He's described as approximately 5'7", 165 pounds. The word "AZTECA" was written on the back of his jacket, police said.
