5/12 CBS2 Tuesday Morning Weather Headlines

Good morning all,

Hope you're having a good start to the day. It's been a pretty mild night, which has allowed fog to form near the coastlines of the Tri-State.

A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. when the sun's power has enough "oomph" to burn it off.

The sun will really power down on us today. We can expect some 90s around the area today. NYC should get close. High: 87°-91°.

Then... we drop temps BIG time. A good 20 degrees behind the cold front that plagued the Midwest with terror-filled storms. The remainder of the week will hover in low 70s.

Some much needed rain could be in store for Saturday, but we will track timing.
