Boomer & Carton: Brady's Suspension Provides Plenty To Talk About

Tuesday's Open

The NFL has suspended Tom Brady four games for his role in "Deflategate," sending a message to the rest of the league in the process.

Boomer and Craig got things started Tuesday morning by discussing Brady's punishment and what it means moving forward.  In addition to losing their starting quarterback for the first quarter of the season, the Patriots were also fined $1 million and will forfeit their 2016 first-round draft pick, as well as a fourth-rounder in 2017.

Boomer made it clear though that despite the public satisfaction, this is not a day to celebrate -- although the rest of the league is probably collectively holding back a grin. Meantime, Craig the Jets fan could be heard doing some gloating if you will, as he considers the prospect of Gang green winning the AFC East.

On the diamond, the Mets' reigning Rookie of the Year took the mound in Chicago and proceeded to lose to the Cubs, while the Yankees used the long ball down in Tamapa, five of them actually, which earned CC Sabathia his first win of the season.

All of that, and some more good news with regards to the NYPD Charity Softball Game, which will take place June 3 at Yankee Stadium.

And away we go!
