5/17 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
After a soupy start this morning and a sunny summer feel this afternoon, we'll have clouds coming back tonight with a slight chance for a passing shower. It will be another mild night with temps in the low 60s in the City.
Tomorrow will feature another chance for showers, and it will be significantly cooler. A front sagging to the south will draw cooler air in off the ocean, so we're only gonna top off in the low 60s to low 70s - warmer away from the coast. It doesn't look like we'll have any strong thunderstorms, but a few showers could be locally heavy.
Tuesday will be the better bet for stronger stuff ahead of a cold front, and we're actually monitoring the chance for severe thunderstorms...we'll update accordingly. It'll be a bit warmer on Tuesday with a high of 75 along with partial sunshine.
Once the cold front moves through Tuesday night, we're gonna have a fantastic stretch of weather right through the weekend - plenty of sunshine with pleasant temps, feeling just like late May should!
