The Rangers got a leg up on the Lightning on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 win in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference finals tussle, and will be looking to build upon that tonight at the Garden.  Boomer is obviously encouraged by the one-goal win, if for no other reason because it was a win. For those of you keeping track at home, the Blueshirts need seven more to capture Lord Stanley's elusive Stanley Cup, but don't tell Boomer.

So it was with the Rangers that things got underway on Monday's radio program before the focus shifted to the Mets, for a couple of reasons.

First of all, when the Mets welcome the Cardinals to town tonight, they will turn to their 26-year-old starter Matt Harvey, which of course makes tonight a "Harvey Night."  Unfortunately for the Mets, the good vibrations were quickly deflated by a story Craig shared with regards to Chris Mullin throwing out a first pitch at Citi Field that you'll have to hear to believe.

Additionally we heard the guys' take on American Pharoah as the three-year-old colt prepares for the Belmont Stakes with the Triple Crown a realistic possibility -- how 'bout that?!
