5/21 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

Some light rain will push through our southern counties this afternoon. The city will be on the fringe of the rain, so if we do see any, it will be generally light. Between the rain and the clouds, temps will struggle again... low to mid 60s at best.

On and off light rain is expected across our southern counties and Long Island into tonight with the rain wrapping up towards daybreak. Temperatures will bottom out in the mid 50s.

More sunshine is expected tomorrow, but a cold front could touch off an afternoon shower or two. Highs will be warmer in the low to mid 70s with blustery conditions in the afternoon.

Saturday's looking spectacular, though we will have a slightly cooler air mass in place. Afternoon temps will max out right around 70°.

Sunday's looking mostly sunny with warmer highs in the upper 70s.
