5/23 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Evening all,

Skies don't get much clearer than what we had today! Plentiful sunshine to kick off the Memorial Day weekend, and that trend looks to continue right into tomorrow.

Clear skies overnight, with a low of 54 in the city. Suburbs will drop into the 40s, but still not as cold as what we saw this morning... Monticello dipped down to 34!

A nice rebound is in store for tomorrow as we tap into a southwest flow. Temps will be about 10 degrees warmer for your Sunday, with highs in the upper 70s to around 80. A few more high clouds than today, but still abundant sun!

As we've been mentioning, Memorial Day has been trending drier over the past couple of days. It looks like the precip associated with a warm front will remain to our northwest, leaving us with partly cloudy skies. It's shaping up to be a pretty decent holiday! Expect a high around 82 in Central Park on Monday.

We get hotter and more humid after that, with temps in the mid 80s and scattered thunderstorm chances.
