State Police: Arrests, Drugs Seized At Music Festival In Bethel Woods

BETHEL WOODS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Several arrests have been made at an outdoor electronic music festival in Bethel Woods, New York this weekend, according to New York State Police.

Authorities said state troopers recovered cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, ecstasy and marijuana Friday from cars passing through checkpoints at the Mysteryland Music Festival.

The festival features performances from artists including Bob Moses, Kevin Castro, Space Jesus and Wild Dark.

The 21 and over camping festival draws thousands of attendees. On its website, Mysteryland warns that possessing, selling and using drugs is forbidden.

Just last year, a New York man was charged in connection with the death of another man they say overdosed on MDMA at Electric Zoo music festival in 2013.

Patrick Morgan, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty in December to one count of conspiring to distribute narcotics.
