Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals And Petco Foundation Host Event In Union Square

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)  New York City’s mega animal adoption event returns to Manhattan’s Union Square on Sunday, May 31st from noon to 5 p.m.

Adoptapalooza, sponsored by the Petco Foundation, will feature 300 dogs, cats and rabbits from more than 40 rescue groups affiliated with the Mayor’s Alliance for New York City’s Animals.

Adoption fees vary by group, but all the animals have been spayed or neutered and vaccinated.   Alliance President Jane Hoffman notes that potential adopters will have all their questions answered before taking an animal home.  “Basically come with an open heart, she told 1010 WINS. “Meet an animal that you fall in love with, have identification, and have some means of paying the adoption fee”.
