9 Sets Of Twins And A Set Of Triplets Ready To Graduate From Long Island High School

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The pomp and circumstance at one Long Island school has been turning heads.

For the second year in a row, ten sets of multiples are in the graduating class.

As CBS2's Jill Nicolini explained, a walk through the halls of JFK high school in the Plainview-Old Bethpage school district, might make you feel like you're seeing double or triple.

Nine sets of twins and a set of triplets will graduate from the school.

"I didn't necessarily want to go to the same school with her, just ended up going there and she did too,"Matthew Kurnit said.

"We both like the school but didn't plan on going together," Sydney Kurnit added.

"I'm dumping them off. I'm going to miss them a little bit," Brandon said.

There are two sets of identical twins among the graduates.

"We grew up having a fun time trying to see if people could guess our names and stuff," Don Lee said.

"I'm not going to miss him, honestly," his brother Thomas added.

The rest are fraternal.

"People be like 'oh, it's the twins. We definitely have a lot in common," David Baker said.

"I don't like having to share the car," his sister Alexandra added.

All twenty-one of the brothers and sisters will be graduating on June 28, at the Tilles Center.

One question that no one seems to be able to answer is 'what's in the water in Plainview-Old Bethpage?'

Next year the school said it will graduate seven sets of twins and one set of triplets. Down the road, the principal said he hears one future graduating class has thirteen sets of twins.
