By Justin Lewis

Showers and storms will pop across the area this afternoon. Some of these storms may be accompanied by heavy rainfall, so do be on the lookout for any ponding on roadways and flooding. It will be humid with a high near 80°.

Some showers and storms linger into the evening, especially across inland areas, with activity diminishing into the overnight hours. It will still be on the mild side with lows in the mid to upper 60s.

We'll get off to a quiet start tomorrow, but showers and storms will return in the afternoon. These storms could be strong to severe with the greatest threat across inland areas. It will still be a bit humid with more breaks of sun in the afternoon. Highs will be a little warmer in the low to mid 80s.

It will be quieter come Wednesday as high pressure settles in to our north. Expect mostly sunny skies, less humid conditions and highs in the low 80s.

Our next chance of rain will arrive on Thursday.
