24-Year-Old Woman Shot To Death Pulling Into South Brunswick Parking Lot

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A 24-year-old woman was shot and killed pulling into the parking lot of her job in South Brunswick, New Jersey Wednesday.

The victim, 24-year-old Alicia Martinez-Izaguirr, of New Brunswick, was found dead inside her car at 7 a.m. in front of Drive Medical located at the Prologis Industrial Park on Docks Corner Road, officials said.

"Her ex-boyfriend was waiting for her at work," Martinez's brother told CBS2's Christine Sloan.

Martinez was fired upon in cold blood through the driver's window of her father's car, Sloan reported.

"Nobody deserves to die in that way," said Martinez's brother.

A FedEx deliveryman said he had seen Martinez before at the warehouse and described her as "very sweet," 1010 WINS' Rebecca Granet reported.

The results of an autopsy concluded that Martinez-Izaguirr had been fatally shot, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's office.

The family told CBS2 they are looking through surveillance video, Sloan reported.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Shearer of the South Brunswick Police Department at (732) 329-4646, or Detective Marchak of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office at (732) 745-3254.
