Heated Competition, New Promotions Making July Eventful Month At Yankee Stadium

Provided by TiqIQ

As the 2015 Major League Baseball season creeps up into July, New York Yankee fans have to be pleased with how their club has fared thus far approximately halfway through the campaign. After most baseball analysts and pundits projected them for a middle-of-the-road type finish, the Yankees have exceeded those mild expectations, maintaining possession of first place in the rugged American League East division for much of the season up to this point. At the moment, they’re currently a game back of Tampa Bay for first, but also find themselves bunched together with most of the division, each jockeying for position in the American League’s tightest race in 2015.

A new month brings some new competition, as well as some new promotions at Yankee Stadium, something the team is very good at when it comes to rewarding Yankees faithful with some of the most unique giveaways in all of baseball. The Yankees have four home series coming up, two of which serving as huge division matchups against the Rays (July 3-5) and Orioles (July 21-23) that will instantly impact the landscape of the division with each affair. For these reasons and more, it looks like July will be another notably action-packed month in the Bronx.

With so many good promotions and matchups on tap, tickets for certain games will be less expensive on the secondary market, while with others it's more beneficial to get your tickets directly through the Yankees. In fact, for the first home series of the month, when the Yanks collide with the division-leading Rays, not only should the action be plenty meaningful over the long haul, but there are also two significant promotional days featured in this series.

First, in the series opener on July 3, the Yankees will hold Cap Night, with a plethora of better deals on Yankees.com compared to the secondary market. For instance, if someone wanted tickets in section 224, row 3, they could pay just $155 through the Yankees, compared to $178 from another seller. Furthermore, tickets for section 311, row 6 can be had for $48 straight from the team, as opposed to $82 out on the reselling market.

This Rays-Yankees series also boasts Fathead Day the very next day on the Fourth of July. Aside from the usual fireworks, fans can attain a rare Fathead sticker that can be placed anywhere in the house, and is an item rarely handed out at baseball games. The Yankees have some better ticket deals for this game as well, such as in section 405, row 6, where seats are being sold for just $22. On the secondary market, the same section 405, row 6 seats are going for $36.

In the ensuing series, the Yankees will welcome the Oakland Athletics into the Bronx, and that series also features a very cool promotion. For the middle contest of this three-game set on July 8, fans will be treated to Dellin Betances Figurine Night, consisting of an incredibly rare giveaway that is the only one of its kind throughout the entire season. Bobbleheads are a popular item, with about a handful of those giveaways being produced for the campaign, but Betances is the only player getting this special figurine treatment. With his rapid ascension and current standing as one of baseball’s best young up-and-coming relievers, this is sure to be a hit amongst all Yankees fans.

Finally, the Yankees will have their last two promotional days of the month about a week later in their series with another AL West resident, the Seattle Mariners. In the second game of the series on July 18, Yankee Stadium will host Collectible Truck Day, and this is a promotion that is just oozing superior ticket pricing. The very next day, the Yankees will hold 2000 World Series Championship Ring Day, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the club’s memorable victory over the crosstown rival Mets in the first ever Subway Series, which also extended their incredible dynasty from that era.
