SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The Middlesex County prosecutor's office said an arrest has been made in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman in South Brunswick, New Jersey earlier this week.

Giver Vasquez was arrested at a home of an acquaintance in New Hope, Pennsylvania, on Thursday night, police said.

Vasquez allegedly borrowed a car and followed 24-year-old Alicia Martinez-Izaguirr, of New Brunswick, and fatally shot her as she pulled into the parking lot of her job on Wednesday morning.

Martinez-Izaguirr was found dead inside her car at 7 a.m. in front of Drive Medical located at the Prologis Industrial Park on Docks Corner Road, officials said.

Prosecutors said the two knew each other and the shooting was not random.

Vasquez is charged with murder, stalking and weapons offenses. He is being held on $2 million bail while awaiting extradition from Pennsylvania.
