6/26 CBS2 Friday Afternoon Weather Headlines

by Justin Lewis, CBS2 Meteorologist

There's just a slight chance of a passing shower this afternoon... by no means a washout, but it wouldn't hurt to have the umbrella handy. And with some breaks of sun here and there, expect temps to top our in the upper 70s.

We're generally quiet tonight with the exception of a stray shower early in the evening. Temps will fall to the mid 60s by sunrise.

We'll get off to a bit of a cloudy start tomorrow as our next rain maker approaches. It looks like the bulk of the rain holds off across much of the area through the morning hours... it's into the afternoon where we'll see rain fill in from west to east with the likelihood of the heavier rain holding off until the evening and overnight hours. Rainfall amounts are expected to be .5-2.0" when all is said and done.

There's some hope on Sunday as we say goodbye to our system and welcome back some sunshine. It will be breezy and a little warmer with highs in the upper 70s.
