6/28 CBS2 Sunday Morning Weather
By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Good Sunday morning!
It's a good day to sleep in a bit this morning, with scattered showers still swinging through the area. For the most part though, the worst of the storm is out of our area. Still, a few showers could be heavy. Expect things to wind down during the morning with some sun breaking out this afternoon!
Temps reach the upper 70s in NYC which is a LOT better than we managed yesterday. If you're heading to the beach, things look fine - just be mindful of a high rip current risk and a high UV index. There could be a few passing showers this evening, but they won't be anything like what we had last night.
Monday will start off the work week with a mix of sun and clouds - but more in the way of sunshine. It will also be a few degrees warmer with a high in the low 80s! Tuesday continues the warming trend but with a chance for thunderstorms.
Check back later for first thoughts on the holiday weekend!
