NYPD: 3 Teen Girls Wanted For Purse Snatchings In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for three teenage girls who they said attacked two women and stole their purses in the Bronx.

The first incident happened around 5 p.m. Sunday at East 156th and Kelly streets.

The women walked up to a 74-year-old woman from behind, took her purse and dragged her to the ground, police said.  They then fled eastbound on East 156th Street.

The next day, police said they attacked a 57-year-old woman around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Bryant Avenue and East 165th Street.

In that incident, the suspects put the woman in a headlock before taking her purse, police said. They then took off toward Whitlock Avenue.

The suspects were seen on surveillance video from the first incident on Sunday. Police said they are between about 15 and 17 years old.
