7/1 CBS2 Wednesday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

We'll see a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon. A few showers/storms will swing through, especially across the northern half of the area, but we're not expecting to see quite the intensity in these storms that we saw this morning... some lightning and gusty winds possible though. Highs will be a touch warmer in the low to mid 80s... little humid, too.

With the exception of a leftover shower/storm early in the evening, tonight looks generally quiet with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies and lows in the upper 60s.

We'll see a mix of sun and clouds tomorrow, as well. Communities well to the south could see a little light rain or a rumble of thunder here and there, but much of the area will stay dry. It will be less humid, too, with highs in the low 80s.

Friday's not looking too bad at the moment with partly to mostly sunny skies, low humidity, and highs around 80°.

As for your 4th of July, high pressure will try to hang on and deliver us partly sunny skies with highs in the low 80s.
