It has been a busy season for sea creature spotting at New Jersey beaches this summer. Beachgoers have also found sharks – including a shark named Mary Lee that was tracked north of Seaside Heights, and a dead shark that washed ashore in Belmar.

There have also been multiple sightings of the
Portuguese man o' war – a venomous jellyfish-like creature – on Jersey shore beaches.
